Our verdict

The Irrsinn Bar proves that good cocktails do not need a stiff atmosphere. For about 14 years it has mixed classics and its own creations on Rebgasse, to a soundtrack of blues, rock and metal.

In the glass

The bar infuses its own spirits, makes cold drip and its own syrups. There is also a wide choice of bottled beers, wines and spirits.

Location

Rebgasse runs from Claraplatz towards Wettsteinplatz, and Messeplatz is an eight-minute walk. The bar has no kitchen.

Our advice

On Fridays and Saturdays it is open until 3am, which makes the Irrsinn Bar one of the late-night addresses in Kleinbasel. According to guests there is a smoking room; non-smokers sit at the front.
