Our verdict
Bierrevier is the bar for people who take their beer seriously. Around 40 taps pour a changing line-up of Swiss and international beers, with some 150 more in bottles and cans.
In the glass
Lagers, wheat beers, sours and stouts rotate constantly. If you are unsure, order tasting glasses from one decilitre and work your way through the list.
Location
The bar is in the Markthalle, a five-minute walk from Basel SBB station. Bierrevier has no kitchen of its own, but the hall's food stalls are a few steps away.
Our advice
Ideal for an hour before your train or an evening of street food from the hall. It is closed on Sundays, and Saturday hours vary between sources.
